Why the cello?

The cello’s unique ability to blend power and subtlety allow it to express both deep dramatic intensity and delicate tender moments. Its sound has been likened to the human voice with a warmth and depth that can stir the heart and create an intimate atmosphere. The instruments ability to blend both dark and light, power and delicacy, makes it one of the most emotionally expressive instruments.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a deeply meditative experience in which participants are immersed in soothing sounds created by various instruments, such as singing bowls, tuning forks, drums, chimes, and other resonant instruments. The vibrations and frequencies promote relaxation, reduce stress, and bring the mind and body into a state of balance.

It is possible to fall asleep when you enter into a state of deep relaxation. Try to stay present and bring yourself back to the sound if you feel yourself drifting. Each participant’s experience of a sound bath is unique. Some individuals may experience profound relaxation, heightened awareness, or emotional release, while others may feel discomfort or other unexpected sensations. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, please free to adjust your position or remove yourself from the space as needed.
